Here we see two examples — “sperker” and “dogtal” — of the Sparkinese Vowel Shift.
Ok Sperky, which is it, dogtal or digtal? I need to know whether I get a new pet out of it or have to go out in the back yard with a shovel. If it were both dogtal and digtal, I could send said dog out back sans shovel to do the digging for me.
“Sperky” made me snort!
If you are going to digtal you should first standtal.
Well, this isn’t very good English. Maybe if I spell check it with Firefox’s Latin dictionary it’ll make more sense.
attæ SPERER Phaone DOTALIS – $70
attæ SPERER OHONE DIGITALIS ANTERIORANDUS STEM CALER IT CALLI TINGIN Ium astringo $70.00 O.B.O (XXX)XXX-xxxx O TEXTI O DILEMMA
Oh, now I get it.
Many are the times I have said to myself, O TEXTI O DILEMMA!
And Caller IT has to be incorrect. The caller rarely has IT skills. That’s why they are calling!
Maybe we’re misinterpreting.
Maybe Pennywise finally got a phone.
Pennywise. # foolish.
Luckily, the “grilling out” was, 1, yesterday, and 2, was my BiL’s labouring.
Weather today is overcast and sticky-humid and not conducive to holiday meals unless one is inclined to sweat uncomfortably.
Young Astro could be on to something here–

Although Vietnamese scans more prettily:

Looks very pretty in Lao, if just as nonsensical.
Totally OT of post but most appropriate for Memorial Day…
*waving biggest American flag she could find and still hold up*
Of all days, Eyebrows No. 1 son landed on U.S. soil this morning at 4 a.m. EST from his fourth and final deployment! This young man (Navy EOD), his wife and his two daughters have given eight years of service to our country. They have struggled, they have persevered, and they have survived intact. A strong team, these kids, and we couldn’t be more proud.
There are hundreds of thousands of military personnel and their families who are in various stages of service, here and around the globe. Bless you and thank you, each and every one. You are carried in more hearts than you could ever know. I pray that you are all granted the gift my family has been given today. He’s home.
Thanks to Eyebrows Offspring #1 for his service, and to your whole family for supporting him as he served. Happy Memorial Day.
Please tell them I said “THANKS!”…………..no snarking today.
Big, huge, ginormous hugs for Mr. & Mrs. Archie, their son, and his family!
🙂 Much appreciated. Hope you all had as wonderful a Memorial Day, too!
Oh dam, all my dogs are short…
